The most critical part of grade crossing project. This is where the project scope is defined. This meeting determines what is constructed at your crossing.
Measurements, photos, observations and an interview by an experienced individual will be the basis to create a Site Survey. This document will become part of the bid package and be a guide for preliminary engineering.
Prepare specifications, arrange bidding, field questions, make recommendations, create estimates for submission to the State.
Insure that all utility modifications occur in a timely manner, including electric power service. Communicate with local highway authorities so there is understanding of what is changes are occurring and make any necessary arrangements.
Notify authorities of construction and coordinate scheduling. Oversee work to insure a quality installation that meets the railroad's expectation and satisfies the State project scope.
Monitor project costs and resolve issues that may occur during construction. Coordinate invoicing and monitor costs to insure they are inline with project estimates.
Other experience and training areas includes: cartography, surveying, real estate, track inspection, grade crossing preemption, drafting, and civil design.
